Our mission is to provide 100% natural and pure honey to our customers and consumers in an affordable, safe, and effective manner and promote a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, Imaan Natural Honey must meet the following honey specifications/requirements.

Imaan Natural Honey Specifications.

  1. Guaranteed 100% pure and natural bee honey and must not contain any added sugar, colour, artificial flavour, synthetic substances, syrups or anything foreign to honey;
  2. Honey must be according to the Honey (England) Regulation 2015 no. 1348, EC Directive 2001/110/EC and 2008/772/EC, Commission Regulation (EU) No. 37/2010, CODEX Standard for Honey 12-1981 and all relevant official regulations;
  3. Honey must be tested as per the UK and EU requirements. Intertek/QSI Tests must include all the required parameters including C3&C4 sugar detection (13C EA/LC-IRMS), LC-HRMS, NMR, Colour Pfund, Moisture content, Sucrose, Fructose, Glucose, Fructose/Sucrose ratio (FG ratio), Total Invert Sugars, Pollen, Chloramphenicol, Fluoroquinolone, Sulfonamides, Nitrofurans, Carbendazime, Streptomycin, Other Antibiotics, Fluvalinate, Amitraz, Metronidazole, Lead, Glyphosate, Macrolides, Nitroimidazoles, HMF, Antibacterials, Macrolides, and Pesticide Screen (GC-MS and LC-MS); 
  4. Honey must not have added to it any food ingredient, including food additives, nor must any other additions be made other than honey. Honey must not have any objectionable matter, flavour, aroma, or taint absorbed from foreign matter during its processing and storage;
  5. Honey must be free from mould, insects, insect debris, brood and any other organic or inorganic substance foreign to honey;
  6. Honey must be free from any natural syrups including corn, cane, brown rice and jaggery syrups;
  7. Honey must be free of food colorants;
  8. Honey must be free of honey foreign protein; 
  9. Honey must not be fermented;
  10. Honey must be homogenised in one batch;
  11. Honey must be free of Bee’s Medicine;
  12.  Honey must be free for Antibiotics;
  13. Fructose/Glucose (F/G) ratio of minimum 1.3 must be maintained;
  14. The Glucose / Water (G/W) ratio of less than 1.3 must be maintained; 
  15. HMF must be below 25 mg/kg and must not exceed 30 mg/kg on arrival at the UK;
  16. The moisture content must not be more than 18%;
  17. The honey must not be pasteurised or heated in such a way as to significantly destroy enzymes and drive off the volatile aromatic compounds which give each type of honey its unique quality;
  18. The vendor/bee keeper will take its products (honey) or destroy it (as advised by the UK Port Health Authority) if it fails the UK Port Health Authority requirements/tests and the buyer will be offered a full refund; and
  19. The vendor would refund the buyer in full if the honey delivered does not match the honey sample sent by the vendor (including colour, taste, and aroma).
